Motion Notion 2018 — Raving in the BC Wilderness

A long weekend from the Pacific Northwest to Motion Notion near Merritt, British Columbia. Six riders crossed the Wallowas, the Kettle River country, and the border at Grand Forks before the festival. The ride there was the part that stayed interesting.

The Run North

The group started around Wallowa Lake and Joseph, Oregon, then worked north through Washington and the Kettle River range. The border crossing was at Grand Forks. From there, the route climbed through Penticton to the festival camp near Merritt.

A Different Destination

Motion Notion was an outdoor electronic music festival, not the usual motorcycle destination. That changed the shape of the weekend, but not the job of getting there: keep the group moving, keep the route straight, and arrive with enough left for camp.
