Build a repair plan before a repair kit

A worksheet for matching tools to your own motorcycle and the work you can actually do, with a plan for the problems that need outside help.

Know your bike

Record the motorcycle model, tire setup, and manual location.
Check scheduled maintenance before the trip.
List the tools required for the tasks you already know how to perform.

Practice at home

Check that each tool fits the intended fastener.
Check your inflation equipment and power source.
Practice only repairs you can perform safely, using your motorcycle's service instructions.

Know when to stop

Write down which failures need a mechanic or recovery.
Record recovery contacts and coverage limits.
Plan how to reach help when there is no phone service.
